MRS. W. L. DANNATT DIES AT LOW MOOR
Mrs. W. L. Dannatt, 77 died at 6 p.m. Monday evening in the home of her daughter, Mrs. F. E. Conover, with whom she has made her home for nine years, after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Low Moor Methodist church. Burial will be in Rosehill cemetery, Camanche.
Jessie Smith was born Nov. 20, 1868, in Camanche, the daughter of Col. John Henry Smith and Emily Cooley Smith. On May 12, 1886, she was married in Camanche to W. L. Dannatt and moved to a farm east of Low Moor, coming here to live in 1898.
She was a member of the Methodist church and served as Sunday School superintendent for a number of years, besides being a very active church worker. She was a member of Low Moor Rebekah lodge, 102, and Order of Eastern Star, also a member of the Ladies of G. A. R. of Camanche.
Mrs. Dannatt is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Agnes) Anthony, of Camanche; Mrs. Frank (Helen) Conover of Low Moor and Mrs. Durk (Ruth) Offringa of Cedar Rapids. Five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. E. P. (Frances) Carpenter of Clear Lake, also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Louis J. Dannatt, Low Moor, a brother, Dr. G. A. Smith of Clinton and her parents.
