Michael L. (Mike “99”) Kampe, 60, of Clinton, died Thursday, March 31, 2011 at his home, surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Monday, April 4, 2011 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Visitation will be from 9:00am to the service time at the funeral home. Following the services his body will be cremated.
Michael Lewis Kampe was born on September 10, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Herbert and Catherine (Kostecka) Kampe. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Vietnam era. He married “the love of his life”: Angela Vicks-Paisley on September 22, 2008 at their home in Clinton.
Mike was a member of the Clinton AMVETS, enjoyed playing cards especially euchre and poker, and spending time with family and friends.
Mike is survived by his wife: Angie of Clinton; six children: Mike Kampe of California, Steve Kampe of East Moline, Illinois, Sean Kampe of Olney, Illinois, Mason and Brylee Kampe of Fulton, Illinois, a step-son: Nick (Kristin) Paisley of Mundelein, Illinois; two grandchildren; one sister: Emma Cambell of Sydney, Illinois; three brothers: James (Barb) Kampe of East Moline, Illinois, Dave (Pat) Kampe of Arizona, and Frank (Mildred) Kampe of Olney, Illinois.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother: Rex.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family.
