F. E. Conover, Low Moor, Dies
Frank E. Conover, 71, died early today at his home in Low Moor.
The body is at the Bragonier – Fay funeral home in Clinton. At noon Thursday it will be taken to the Low Moor Methodist church, where it will lie in state until 3 p. m. Rev. Bernard Mott will conduct services at that time and burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park.
He was born Dec. 5, 1882, a son of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Conover of Low Moor. His marriage to Helen Dannatt took place there April 11, 1911. At one time he was employed as a telegraph operator by the Chicago and North Western. Later he served as cashier of the Low Moor bank and as assistant cashier of the City National bank in Clinton.
For many years he served on the Low Moor city council. He was a member and treasurer of the Low Moor school board. He also was affiliated with I. O. O. F. lodge and Masonic lodge of Low Moor, having served as past master of the latter and the Clinton DeMolay Consistory.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Ruth) Papritz, Williamsburg; two grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Ralph Haring, Low Moor, and Mrs. Alfred Ehlers, Long Grove; two brothers, A. R. and W. C. Conover, both of Minneapolis, Minn.
His parents and a brother, Tom, preceded him in death.
