Clinton/Cedar Rapids - Liam Camden Determan, infant son of David and Misty (Kruse) Determan was stillborn on Friday, February 25, 2011. Liam passed away due to complications of his umbilical cord he endured while in utero. Liam was 8lbs 8.8oz and 21 inches long. He was an absolutely beautiful baby boy. He had dark curly hair like his daddy and long fingers and toes. He also had beautiful cheekbones like his big sister Madison. He had his mommy’s button nose, but most important of all were his full plump lips like his mommy’s and big sister Lauren. Liam is survived by his father and mother, Dave and Misty, and sisters Madison Valls and Lauren Kruse. Grandparents are Gary and Mary Determan and Myrna Kruse. Liam was loved by so many even before we had the chance to meet him. It’s a miracle how much unconditional love you can have for this little human being that you only got to hold for such a short period of time and yet had to let go forever. Liam Camden will always be our precious baby boy. We would like to thank the staff at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Dr. Bemus, Dr. Hocking and the nurses in OB, Dr. Larsen and his staff and Susan Fletcher. You are all incredible compassionate people. Most importantly I thank my husband Dave who I adore and love more and more each day for being so supportive and caring. Also a big thank you to my closest friend, Maggi Price, who has always been by my side when I needed someone the most. To my mother in law Mary Determan and sister in law Teresa Burg, I no longer consider you my “in-laws”, you are my family. I could have never delivered Liam without my mother Mary there to hold me, stroke my hair, and tell me I was going to be ok. To my sister Teresa who helped take care of my other kids and brought me things she thought I needed…thank you.
Remember life is a precious gift that we take for granted, hold the ones you love like it’s your last day with them.
