Esther G. Todtz, 85, of Camanche died Friday, February 4, 2011 at Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clinton. Funeral services will be 10:00am Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Camanche. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00pm Monday, February 7, 2011 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Boock, Jeff Daniels, Gary Burmeister and Steve Jacobsen.

Esther Grace Boock was born on May 18, 1925 in Miles, the daughter of John and Emma (Lipinski) Boock. She was a Preston High School graduate. She married William Carl Todtz Jr. on July 16, 1961 in Preston; he died on June 27, 2003.

She was employed in the cafeteria at DuPont for many years. She had also been employed at the Preston grocery store. After her marriage to William she became a full-time mother.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Camanche and had been very active in Boy Scouts when her children were young.

She is survived by 3 sons: William C. (Lee) Todtz III of Cortland, IL, John (Paula Kral) Todtz of Swisher, IA, and Andrew (Marci DeVries) Todtz of Baltimore, MD and 6 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 sisters and 5 brothers.

Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Camanche.
