Arnold Raaymakers
Arnold F. Raaymakers, 70, of Clinton, died Monday, December 27, 2010 at the Eagle Point Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center.
Memorial Services will be 1:00pm, Friday, December 31, 2010 at the First Congregational Church, Clinton with Dr. Donald Batz officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00am to the service time at the church. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Arnold Frank Raaymakers was born on August 14, 1940 in Grand Rapids, Michigan the son of John and Clara (Hurtubise) Raaymakers. He married Sue Edgren on October 1, 1972 in Clinton.
Arnie was a 1957 graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in Panell, Michigan.
Arnie was a self employed contractor. He also owned and operated the Dairy Queens in Clinton since 1990.
Arnie enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and traveling.
Arnie is survived by his wife: Sue of Clinton; five daughters: Ann Marie (Steven) Mills of Davenport, Iowa, Jean (Chuck) Machaud of Portage, Michigan, Margaret (Phillip) Arends of Muskegon, Michigan, Kathleen (Mark) Ellington of Cleveland, Texas, and Katie (Andy) Winsor of Madison, Wisconsin; three sons: Steven (Peggy) Raaymakers of Baytown, Texas, Jeff (Rene) Raaymakers of Mahomet, Illinois, and Joe (Sarah) Raaymakers of Clinton, Iowa; 27 granchildren and 3 great-grandchildren: four sisters: Arlene Schafer of Ionia, Michigan, Clara Raaymakers of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Margaret (Dave) Wilcome of Panell, Michigan, Rosemary (Gary) Moore of Hastings, Michigan, and one brother: Terry Raaymakers of Detroit, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, three brothers, and one sister.
Memorials can be made the First Congregational Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
