Janet M. OConnor, 74, of Clinton, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Trinity in Bettendorf. Private memorial services will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory.
Janet was born March 25, 1936 in Clinton, IA, the daughter of Edmund and Iola (Smith) Hickey. She married Robert OConnor October 27, 1956 in Clinton. She and her husband lived in Chicago for 50 years.
Janet attended Mt. St. Clare College for two years. She was employed in the Banking Industry in the Chicago area for several years. Janet was a very avid reader and was very proud of her Irish heritage.
She is survived by her husband, Robert of Clinton; daughter, Brigette OConnor of Clinton; son, Timothy (Lisa) OConnor of Chicago; 3 grandchildren, Christine, Lauren and Sean and 4 great-grandchildren, Torren, Anthony, Nicholas and Nathan.
She was preceded in death by her parents and Dolores and Earl Lathrop who raised her.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Iowa Department for the Blind.
