Clinton, Iowa - Jenis M. Baker age 86 of Clinton, died Sunday Feb. 13, 2011 at the Alverno Health Care Facility. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday Feb. 18th at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday 5 – 8 pm at the Pape Funeral Home and Friday 10:00 am until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers will be her grandchildren, Nathan, Jens, Jeff, Trey, and Geoff Baker, Nikell Close, Lara Kalush, Alyse Kenser, Courtenay Olinger, and Kirstie Taylor. Jenis was born on April 16, 1924 in Clinton, the daughter of Jens and Florence (Mallory) Willadsen. She married Gilbert Baker on April 11, 1944 in Clinton, he died in 1981. She worked for A.C. Nielsen Co. as a secretary for several years. She also was an officer for Baker Distributing, Clinton. Jenis enjoyed spending time with her family and especially with her grandchildren.

Jenis is survived by her three sons, Gilbert (Robin) Baker of Spring Hill, FL, Gerry (Cathy) Baker of Clinton, and Gregory (Chris) Baker of Clinton; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Doris Foster of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a granddaughter, Mallory in 2006.
