Camanche, Iowa - Timothy J. Hickey age 62 of Camanche, died Tuesday Feb. 8, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be held 11:30 am Friday, Feb. 11th at the Pape Funeral Home in Clinton. Visitation will be held Thursday 4 – 7 pm at the funeral home. Following the funeral service, cremation rites will be accorded and burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Camanche. Memorials may be given to the Camanche School’s Athletics and Fine Arts Department. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.

Timothy was born on Oct. 10, 1948 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of James and Ercella (Cady) Hickey. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1967. He married Gwenn Havens on Sept. 1, 1966 in Clinton. Timothy worked at Chemplex in maintenance department for 34 years. He later was a delivery driver for Burke Florist.

Timothy was a member of Gyro’s Club in Camanche. He worked with the chain gang at Camanche High School football games for over 22 years. He was a fan of all sports especially the Chicago Cubs and Bears. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing softball, biking, and boating.

Timothy is survived by his wife, Gwenn of Camanche; three children, Shawn (Scott) Felts of Clinton, Shane Hickey of Camanche, and Shannen Hickey of Boise, ID; seven granddaughters, Kenna, Hailey, Quinn, Emma, Meghan, Cora, Leah; four brothers, Bill (Marva) Hickey of Las Vegas, NV, David (Lorrie) Hickey, Raymond (Karen) Hickey, and Lloyd Hickey all of Clinton; two sisters, Mary (Clyde) Helmle and Jaimie Ann (William) Johnson both of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Terry and Steven.
