Clinton/Camanche - Arla M. O’Connor age 82 of Clinton, formerly of Camanche, died Monday, February 7, 2011 at Eagle Point Nursing Home. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 10th at the Church of the Visitation in Camanche. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the service time at the church. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Arla was born in Clinton County on January 30, 1929, the daughter of Ora and Jennie Sheldon Farwell. She married Victor O’Connor on April 23, 1949 in St. Irenaeus Church Clinton. She had been employed at Shick General Hospital, Jane Lamb Hospital and the Clinton Garment Factory. Arla was a member of the Church of the Visitation where she was very active in volunteer work.

Arla is survived by a brother, Arthur D. (Lois) Farwell of Preston and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Lois and Geneieve. Memorials may be made to the church. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com
