Goose Lake, Iowa - Irene M. Patterson age 80 of Goose Lake, died Friday Jan. 14, 2011 at Mercy Living Center North in Clinton. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Monday, Jan. 17th at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Charlotte. Visitation will be held Sunday 3 – 6 pm at the Pape Funeral Home. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Following the graveside service, a luncheon will be served at the church. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.

Irene was born on Feb. 4, 1930 in Charlotte, IA, the daughter of Louis and Marina (Grill) Meyer. She graduated from Goose Lake High School in 1948. She married Earl Patterson on July 25, 1948 in Charlotte, he died in 1995. She worked as a cook for Goose Lake School and Northeast School for many years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Charlotte.

Irene is survived by her two daughters, Paula (David) Ketelsen of Charlotte and Lisa (Michael) Yaddof of Preston; four grandchildren, Craig (Tara) Ketelsen, Chris (Addie) Ketelsen, Amber (Kyle) Skoff, and Arik Yaddof; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Joan (Donal) Dierks of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
