The Clinton Herald Wednesday October 8, 1997 p. 9 Catherine E. Mohr, 72, of Morrison, formerly of Preston, died Oct. 4 at Davenport Medical Center. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, Preston, with the Rev. Karl Wolf of St. Johns Lutheran, Preston, officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brodie Hayward, Alfie L. Mohr, Michael J. Clausen, Mike Jepsen and Mark Roach. Honorary pallbearer will be Keith Mohr. She was born March 17, 1925, in Ames, to Bert H. and Hilda Bosma Young. She married Claus Mohr, June 4, 1950. She and her husband farmed near Preston. She later did private duty nursing in the Clinton and Morrison area. She was of the Lutheran faith. Survivors include a daughter, Theresa Kay Hayward of Morrison; two sons Alfred D. "Alfie" Mohr of Miles, and Clayton Claus Mohr of DeWitt; eight grandsons; two great-grandsons; a stepgreat-grandchild; a sister, Betty Link of Nevada; and a brother, Donald Young of Ames. Death date: Oct. 4, 1997.
