Clinton, Iowa - Adam Lotspeich age 88 of Clinton, died Friday Sept. 17, 2010 at the Alverno Health Care Facility in Clinton. Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Tuesday, Sept. 21st at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Following the funeral service, cremation rites will be accorded and inurnment will be 10:00 am Friday at Clinton Lawn Cemetery, where Clinton AMVETS will conduct military honors. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or American Alzheimer Assoc.

Adam was born on Oct. 22, 1921 in Chicago, IL, the son of Adam and Elizabeth (Frei) Lotspeich. He served in the US Navy during WWII from 1942-1945, where he was a machinist mate. Adam married Ruby Gerds on May 27, 1978 in Clinton. He worked as a supervisor in the shipping department at Chemplex from 1967-1986. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Eagles Club, and Moose Lodge. He was a lifetime member of AMVETS, VFW, and American Legion. He enjoyed golfing, dancing, and was an avid Bears & Cubs fan.

Adam is survived by his wife, Ruby of Clinton; a son, John (Peggy) Lotspeich of Galesburg, IL; four daughters, Constance (Wayne) Tanner of Mesa, AZ, Susan (Jim) Waddingham of Eureka, CA, Nancy (Albert) Paciotti of Phoenix, AZ, and Barbara (Steve) Proctor of Tuscan, AZ; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
