Norma Winter

Norma V. Winter, 88, of Clinton, died Sunday, September 19, 2010, at Mercy Living Center, North Campus.

Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Thursday, September 23, 2010 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will follow in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home.

Norma V. Smith was born on April 6, 1922 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of James and Bessie (Comstock) Smith. She married Walter Winter on June 5, 1948 in Clinton; he later died January 5, 1997.

Norma was employed at Nielsen’s Clearing House for 25 years retiring in 1987 as a research clerk.

Norma was a member of the Lyons United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, drawing, dancing music, and collecting butterflies.

Norma is survived by two sons: James (Kathy) Winter of Des Moines, Iowa; Jeffery Winter of Rock Island, Illinois; two brothers: Jack Smith of Queen City, Missouri, and Jim Smith of Queen City, Missouri, and one sister: Sally Bieber of Clinton, Iowa.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister.

Memorials can be made to Mercy Living Center, North.
