John Fredrick Wilson

John Fredrick Wilson, 82, of Camanche died Sunday, August 29, 2010 at the Harmony House, Clinton.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the service hour Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted by the Camanche VFW. Pallbearers will be Ron Wilson, Sean Wilson, Doug Knight, Tony Steen and Gary Luckritz.

John was born January 8, 1928 in Cook, Nebraska, the son of Edwin Newton and Anna Margaret (Schubert) Wilson. He married Nova G. Pruett June 4, 1955 at the Baptist Church in Lyons, Iowa.
He was employed at Clinton Corn Processing and ADM for 31 years, retiring in 1986. John was a United States Army Korea War Veteran. He was a life member of the Camanche VFW and he enjoyed working in his garden and flower garden.
John is survived by his wife, Nova of Camanche, daughters, Connie (Ken) Hemingway of Colorado Springs, CO and Shirley Wilson of Shoreview, MN; son, Ron Wilson of Camanche; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Virginia Koch in 2006, his parents, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
Memorials may be made to the Harmony House.
