Clinton, Iowa - Harriet M. Petersen age 91 of Clinton, died Sunday Aug. 8, 2010 at West Wing Place in Dewitt. Funeral services will be held Thursday 10:00 am at Elvira Zion Lutheran Church in Elvira. Visitation will be held Wednesday 4 – 7 pm at the Pape Funeral Home, Clinton. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Casket bearers will be her grandchildren. Harriet was born on Jan. 13, 1919 in Almont, IA, the daughter of Leonard and Pauline (Ketelsen) Henricksen. She married Glenn Petersen on June 5, 1938 in Clinton; he died in 2003. She was a homemaker and helped her husband on the farm. She was a member of Elvira Zion Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the Naomi Circle. She was a 4-H Leader with Elk River Lucky Stars and a member of the Cow Bells. She enjoyed needle point, traveling, and playing cards.

Harriet is survived by her daughters, Judy (Carlie) Seamer and Susan Raser both of Clinton; sons, Allen (Lavonne) Petersen of Goose Lake and Dale (Dee) Petersen of Miles; 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; and a sister, Anna Fanger of Clinton. She was preceded by her parents, granddaughter-Tammy, two brothers-Carl and Leonard, a sister-Delores, and a son-in-law, Ray.
