Clinton - Grace Aline Florence, 83 of Clinton left this world to be with her parents, brother, and grand daughter Theresa on Sunday, June 6, 2010. Grace was born on October 26, 1926 in Clinton the daughter of Conrad and Elizabeth (Lorenzen) Yochem. She was educated in the Lyons Schools and also attended Beauty School in Des Moines. Grace married Carl Florence in Camanche, Iowa on August 7, 1945. Together they had five children. She worked for the Holiday Inn and Reynolds Restaurant for Many years.

Grace was baptized at Grace Episcopal Church and later was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church. She enjoyed going to garage sales, auctions and visiting with her friends and relatives. She loved to garden, going to the Mississippi Belle II and watching movies on cable. Her favorite TV channel was the “Cooking Channel”.

Grace will be forever in our hearts and minds as a mother that gave her children her all and worshiped her grandchildren. Grace was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Donald Yochem, a half brother, George Juber and granddaughter Theresa Florence.

Grace will be dearly missed by daughters Nancy (Steve) Pecchio of Clinton, Sally (Mark) Bergman formerly of Clinton; sons Todd (Diane) and Dan (Louise) both of Clinton and Tom (Sonja Mennenga) of Des Moines; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 9th at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the service time. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Brad Florence, Paul and Tricia Nederhiser, Brian Strunk, Erica Florence and Steve Pecchio. Honorary casket bearers are Jamie and Troy Long. A memorial has been established.
