Ada Krebs

Ada M. Krebs, 86, of Clinton, died Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Mercy Living Center, South.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00pm Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Private Family Services will be Wednesday at the Springdale Cemetery.

Ada Mae Bradley was born on July 22, 1923 in Maquoketa, Iowa the daughter of Roger and Leola (McPherson) Bradley. She married Ray Krebs, Jr. in September 1942 in Kahoka, Missouri.

She attended Clinton High School. She was employed at Rich Industries and Burpee Seed Company for many years retiring in 1976.

She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and a past member of the Eagles Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint. She enjoyed playing bingo at the nursing home and watching Jeopardy and old Westerns on tv.

She is survived by four daughters: Dianne (Al “Pete”) Lewis of Clinton, Iowa, Barbara Domer of Maquoketa, Iowa, Michelle Ehlinger of Grand Mound, Iowa, and Marla (Gary) Medendorp of Bettendorf, Iowa; four sons: Ray Krebs, III, of Clinton, Iowa, Kerry (Ruth) Krebs of Clinton, Iowa, Roger (Kathy) Krebs, of Clinton, Iowa, and Bruce (Betty) Krebs of Camanche; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister: Betty (Robert) Robertson of Lathrop, Missouri, and a brother: Robert (Cindy) Hallmark of Moline, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter-in-law, one grandson, and one granddaughter, one great-grandson.

Memorials may be made to the Mercy Living Center- South.
