Delmar — Dorothy Marie McMain, 93, died on Friday, April 2, 2010, at Genesis Medical Center, DeWitt.

Dorothy was born November 12, 1916, in Calamus to Daniel and Caroline (Dralla) Danielsen. On December 18, 1941, Dorothy married Harold McMain in Dixon, Iowa. Harold died November 17, 2003.

Dorothy was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, DeWitt. She worked at the Dixon Bank before marriage. She enjoyed meeting new people and friends as they exhibited Belgian horses throughout the Midwest. Cooking, baking and gardening were some of her favorites.

Survivors include sons and daughter, Don (Sue) McMain, Delmar, Dale (Sher) McMain, Delmar, Linda (Craig) Grange, Delmar and Ken McMain, Delmar; grandchildren, Michelle (Tom) Maher, DeWitt, Tera (Nic) Hahn, Delmar, April (Chuck) Cox, Waukee and Krista (Justin) Tibor, Muscatine; brother and sisters, Louise (Junior) Homrighausen, Lowden, Edward (Donna) Danielsen, Sherrard and Arla Mae (Richard) Ebers, Lowden.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, brother, Theodor Danielsen and her infant sister, Arlene.

Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at First Congregational United Church of Christ, DeWitt, with Rev. Jeff Wartgow officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt. Lunch will follow at Buzzy’s, Welton.
