CLINTON — CLINTON — Bobbie Gene Davis, 79, of Clinton, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010, at Mercy Living Center South.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 6, 11:00 a.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel, with Pastor Ron Lott officiating. Visitation will be Monday, April 5, 2010, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Bobbie was born January 18, 1931, in St. Charles, Mo., to James and Printha (Shambling) Davis.

Bobbie served with The United States Air Force during the Korean War from March 1951- September 1952. He worked as a certified pipe fitter and welder with the Local 25 in the Quad-Cities area.

He also ran his business, Davis Specialty Merchandise and Collectibles, in Clinton for several years. His business specialized in swords, knives and daggers.

Bobbie married Betty Jo Wallace in 1953; she passed away in December 1964. He later married Laura Wing in September 1965 in Rock Island, Ill.

Bobbie was a well-known pool player in Clinton. His memberships include Shriners Club, American Legion Club, AMVETS Club, Eagles Club and Scottish Rite of Freemasory, S.J. USA.

Survivors include one daughter, Michelle “Mick” White and her companion, Tom Mussmann of Clinton; one stepson, Harold “Butch” (Cindy) Parker of Denver, CO; 2 grandchildren, Chris (Stephanie) Melvin of Clinton, Lauri Melvin of Clinton; 7 great-grandchildren; and second wife, Laura Davis of Clinton.

Bobbie was preceded in death by his parents, first wife and two brothers.
