Edward Garside Died Sunday at Home in Charlotte

Edward A. Garside, 78, Charlotte, Iowa, resident, father of Dr. A. A. Garside, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Garside, was born Nov. 20, 1868. He had resided in the Charlotte vicinity for the last 50 years. His wife, the former Mary Mellon, whom he married in Petersville, Ia., July 12, 1893, died in 1945.

Surviving in addition to his son, are two daughters. Mrs. Helen Kelly, Iowa City, and Mrs. Ethel Armstrong, Catensville, Md.; seven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The body was removed to Hanrahan funeral home, Dewitt.
