Charlotte — Nan M. Sorensen, age 56, of Charlotte, died Sunday March 21, 2010, at the Clarissa Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday 10:00 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home. Following the funeral service, cremation rites will be accorded and burial will be at Center Grove Cemetery near Bryant at a later date. Nan was born on Dec. 23, 1953, in Bethesda, MD, the daughter of Edward and Betty (Sparks) Holle. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1972. Nan married Bruce Sorensen on Aug. 30, 1980, in Clinton. Nan was a housewife and enjoyed working on the farm with her husband. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Charlotte. She enjoyed gardening and her flowers. Nan is survived by her husband, Bruce; two daughters, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Allen of North Liberty, IA, and Jessica (Jeffrey) Baker of Clinton; her mother, Betty Herman of Bettendorf; two sisters, Elizabeth Bates of Green Island, IA, and Theresa (Todd) Boley of Bettendorf; and a brother, Jeffrey (Sharon) Holle of Davenport.
