CLINTON — CLINTON — Betty Ann Harbeck passed away peacefully in the early hours of Friday, March 12, in Clinton, Iowa, at the age of 76.

Betty was born Sept. 22, 1933 in Moline, Illinois, to William John and Margaret (Van de Gejuchte) Stoit. She married John R. “Jack” Harbeck on September 27, 1952, in Rock Island. They moved to Scott County, Iowa, where they started their family.

Betty is survived by her five children: Ken (Donna) Harbeck, Nan Moon, Lori Rowe, Paul (Christy Rice Hurt) Harbeck, and Nadeene (Al) Francesco; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson, sister-in-law Mary Redington, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, her parents and siblings Charlene (Stoit) Kohrt, Donna (Brandt) Borst, and Timothy Waters.

Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:15 a.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Long Grove. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the Church Cemetery with Msgr. Drake Shafer presiding. A gathering of family and friends will be held in the Church hall following the service.
