CLINTON — Betty L. Still, 78, of Clinton, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at her residence. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 12 at 1:00 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Home, North Chapel, 2303 N. 2nd Street. Reverend Ron Lott will be officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Home, North Chapel, before the funeral service. Burial will be in Miles Cemetery.

Betty was born September 27, 1931, in Clinton, Iowa, to Arthur and Laura (Menneke) Sanderson. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1949 and graduated from Mount St. Clare College and received her BA from Mary Crest College. She worked with the Study Connection at First Baptist Church and also taught Sunday school there. Betty taught 5th grade for two years at Tipton schools and 5th grade at Horace Mann for 30 years. She enjoyed gardening and reading.

Survivors include one son, Daniel Still, Bryant, Iowa; and one brother, Arthur Sanderson, Clinton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and eight sisters. Memorials can be made to the Clinton Humane Society.
