CLINTON — Ronald V. Guidebeck, age 80, of Clinton, died Saturday March 6, 2010, at his home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 to 7:15 p.m. at the funeral home. Following the funeral service, cremation rites will take place and inurnment will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Mercy Hospice.

Ronald was born on Aug. 22, 1929, in Clinton, the son of Roland and Eva (Rivord) Guidebeck. He married Berniece Tholen on Aug. 7, 1948, in Clinton. Ronald was a truck driver at Clinton Corn Processing for over 29 years and worked at Clinton Community College in maintenance for 13 years, retiring in 1991. He enjoyed wood working and was quite the handyman.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Berniece Guidebeck, of Clinton; a daughter, Susan Kay Cook of Port Richey, FL; two sons, Gary Eugene (Diana) Guidebeck of Decatur, IL, and James Ronald Guidebeck of Weeki Wachee, FL; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; a sister, Eleanor Sheehan of North Hollywood, CA; his sister-in-law, Joan Guidebeck of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
