CLINTON — Mary C. Paysen, 81, of Clinton, died Monday, February 22, 2010, at the Bickford Cottage, Clinton. Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 26, 2010, at Prince of Peace Parish Sacred Heart Chapel. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Mary C. Sturtz was born on November 10, 1928, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Wilhelm and Mary (Kirnbouer) Sturtz. She married Gilbert Paysen on July 23, 1960, in Camanche. She was employed with Burpee Seed Company for over 30 years retiring in 1975. Prior to that she was employed at the Cottage Inn. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband, Gilbert, of Clinton; one brother, George Sturtz of Emmitt, Idaho; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Sturtz of Waterloo, Iowa, and Hazel Sturtz of Clinton; one aunt, Lorraine Schultz of Chicago, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
