Harold Schmidt 08/22/2001 CLINTON, Iowa -- Services for Harold Schmidt, Clinton, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Lemke Funeral Home, Clinton. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery, Clinton, with military services by the AMVETS. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Schmidt died Monday, Aug. 20, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center-Clinton, North Campus. He worked 35 years at ADM, formerly Clinton Corn Processing. He retired in 1981. He was born March 8, 1919, in Clinton. He married Margaret Brick in 1948 in Clinton. During World War II, he served in the Army as an aerial photographer for the Army Air Corps. Memorials may be made to Tanager Place Children's Home, Cedar Rapids. Survivors include his wife, Margaret; daughters, Mary Brown, Cedar Rapids, and Julie Roberts, Washington, D.C.; a son, Daniel, Chicago; a sister, Helen Niebuhr, Clinton; and a brother, Marvin, Morrison, Ill.
