OMAHA, Neb. — Gregg Daniel Horner, 61, of Omaha, Nebraska, died suddenly on Tuesday, February 9, 2010, in Terre Haute, Indiana. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 p.m. on Monday, February 15, 2010, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Online condolences for the Horner family may be left at www.wittichfuneralhome.com. The Reverend Jason Crossen of the Ss. Mary and Mathias Parish will officiate the service. Memorials may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation. Gregg was born on March 19, 1948, in Santa Monica, California, the son of Dan and Peggy Morgan Horner. He married Maureen Anne Flynn on June 19, 1971, in Muscatine, Iowa. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran serving during the Vietnam War and receiving a Purple Heart. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering. Gregg was a computer consultant and owned his own business. Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Maureen Flynn Horner of Omaha, Nebraska; one son, Wade Horner of Omaha, Nebraska; two daughters, Jessica Horner of Omaha, Nebraska, and Kendra Horner Moran and husband, Rob, of Egg Harbor City, New Jersey; three grandchildren, Cameron Horner, Ryan Moran and Danica Moran; his former son-in-law, Rob Kolveck of Moosic, Pennsylvania; his mother, Peggy Horner DeWulf and step-father, Art DeWulf, of Wheatland, Iowa; three brothers, Gene A. DeWulf of Atlanta, Georgia, Garth DeWulf of Wheatland, Iowa, and Kelly DeWulf of Wheatland, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was proceeded in death by his father, Dan Horner. Death date: Feb. 9, 2010
