Roxana Ward 08/01/2002 DeWITT, Iowa -- Services for Roxana A. Ward, formerly of DeWitt, will be 7 p.m. today at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. Visitation is 6-6:45 p.m. today at the funeral home. Additional visitation is 12:30-1:30 p.m. Friday at Eastman (Wis.) Wesleyan Church. Burial will be in Eastman National Cemetery. Mrs. Ward died Monday, July 29, 2002, at Kahl Home, Davenport. Roxana Morse was born Oct. 5, 1913, in West Union. She married Joseph Ward in 1930 in West Union. They farmed in Wisconsin and Iowa and operated a clothing store in New Albin. He died in 1983. She had worked in various nursing homes and wrote poetry in her later years. Survivors include a daughter, Betty Hogue, Davenport; son Francis W., Fort Wayne, Ind.; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Violet Franks, Cedar Falls, and Esther Morse, Oelwein; and brother, Wesley Morse, West Union.
