Irma Lucile Greve
(March 10, 1910 - September 4, 2003)

Mrs. Irma L. Greve, 93, DeWitt, Iowa, died Thursday morning, September 4, 2003 at home.

The former Irma Lucile Smith was born March 10, 1910 in rural DeWitt, to Earl and Nellie (Atkinson) Smith. She married John F. Greve on February 10, 1931 in DeWitt. Irma worked several years as a sales clerk for the Keiss, Maynard and Tillman Variety Stores.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church of DeWitt, and the United Methodist Women's Club, Alone Together, and the DeWitt Homemakers Club. Irma enjoyed crafting and sewing during her retirement.

Surviving are her son Dale (JoAnn) Greve, DeWitt; her daughter, Joyce Willers, Davenport; four grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; brothers Roy and Albert Smith, DeWitt; sisters Hazel Schnepel, Freeland, PA and Esther Sellnau, Maquoketa and her special friend, Grace Newmarch of DeWitt.

Preceding Irma in death were her parents, husband (July 22, 1958), a sister, Ruby Smith and brother Harvey Smith.

Family and friends may visit at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt from 2-7 PM Sunday, September 7, 2003. Service of Christian Burial 10 AM Monday, September 8,2003 at the United Methodist Church of DeWitt. The Rev. John Caldwell officiating. Interment at Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John McVay, Tim McVay, Richard Dippel, Anthony Dippel, John Willers and John Willers, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be David Jensen, David McVay, Michael McVay, Daniel Haugen and Joseph Walker
