CLINTON — Rosemarie E. Tode, age 83, of Clinton, formerly of Englewood, FL, died Monday Sept. 21, 2009, at the Alverno Health Care Facility. According to her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial service will be held Saturday 11:00 a.m. Oct. 10, 2009, at the Pape Funeral Home. A gathering of friends and family will be held Saturday 10:00 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home. Rosemarie was born on April 29, 1926, in Lubeck, Germany, the daughter of Alfred and Minna (Schlichting) Braasch. She married Eugene Tode on June 4, 1946, in Lubeck, Germany; he died in 1998. She and her husband owned and operated Tode Lumber Mart in Clinton on Garfield for many years. She was a district sales manager for AVON for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, swimming, walking and was an avid reader. Rosemarie is survived by her daughter, Sibylle (Matthew) Wolfe of Clinton; a son, Peter (Joyce) Tode of Scottsdale, AZ; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
