CLINTON — Vivian T. Shew, 91, of Clinton, died Thursday, August 27, 2009, at Mercy Living Center, South. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 31, 2009, at the Evangelical Free Church with Dr. Thomas Loyola officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Vivian Theresa Wendelboe was born on September 22, 1917, in Barons, Alberta Canada, the daughter of Michael and Mary (Lund) Wendelboe. She married Harold Shew on April 26, 1942, in Yakima, Washington; he later died February 20, 1967. She was employed with Clinton Foods for 181⁄2 years a lab technician. She was a member of the Evangelical Free Church. She was an established painter, sculptor and writer. She is survived by a daughter, Vicky (Austin) Shontz of Clinton; 2 grandchildren, Austin (Gloria) Shontz of Savanna, Georgia, and Holly (Nathan) Stitt of Holts Summit, Missouri; and 1 great-grandson, Michael Stitt. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
