CLINTON — Sandra L. Hove, age 62, of Clinton, died Saturday, August 22, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26th, at Christ Episcopal Church in Clinton. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the service time on Wednesday at the church. Inurnment will be in Oakland Cemetery. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Sandy was born in Clinton on February 2, 1947, the daughter of Eldon and Judith Wirth Hove. Sandy graduated from Clinton High School in 1965 and from Clinton Community College in 1970. She received her B.S. degree in general science from the University of Iowa and graduated from the nursing program at Clinton Community College in 1975. As a registered nurse Sandy was employed at Mercy Hospital from 1977 to 1991 and at the Jackson County Public Hospital in Maquoketa for two years before going back to Mercy. Sandy was a very active member of the Christ Episcopal Church where she sang with the choir, was a vestry member and a member of Outreach. She also served as the parish nurse. Sandy is survived by her mother and stepfather, Judith and Robert (Mac) McMann of Clinton; her father, Eldon Hove of St. Charles, MN; a brother, David (Nancy) Hove of Tempe, AZ; a niece, Alissa Hove; two nephews, Kevin (Stephanie) Hove and Chris (Laura) Hove; two grandnieces, Alexis and Kyla; two grandnephews, Brayden and Jonah; her aunt and uncle, Doris and Dale Lothspeich of Libertyville, Il; cousins, including David and Kathy; and her dog, Abby.
