CLINTON — Terry A. "Pretzy" Pretz, age 57, of Clinton, died Friday, August 7, 2009, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 11th, at St. John Lutheran Church in Clinton. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Pape Funeral Home. Burial will be in Smith Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Elijah Ball, Jim Rockhold, Kenny Goodsman, Neil Rickertsen, Luke Eversoll and Ron Holmes. Honorary casket bears are Tony Cooper, Gary Anglese, Brian Dalldorf, Derek Jenkins and Chad Hayes. Terry was born in Clinton, Iowa, on August 25, 1951, the son of Le Roy H. and Arlene L.A. Eickert Pretz. He graduated from Miles High School in 1969 and attended Scott Community College. Pretzy married Lori Eversoll on February 5, 2005, in Las Vegas. Terry was a heavy equipment operator with Foley Construction Company. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Clinton Horsemen's Club, I.U.O.E. Local 150, District 8 in Rock Island and the Iowa Farm Bureau. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed going on trail rides. Terry is survived by his wife, Lori; a son, Aaron Rowold of Teeds Grove; a daughter, Nicole Pretz of Texas; stepsons, Lance (Darcie) Eversoll of Davenport and Luke Eversoll of Clinton; a stepdaughter, Ashley Eversoll of Clinton; grandchildren, Paige and Avery Rowold, Delaney and Kaylee Eversoll; his mother, Arlene Pretz of Appleton, WI; a brother, Larry (Kim) Pretz of Nashville, TN; sisters, Sherrill (Doug) Moard of Appleton and Brenda (DaVarro) Rickertsen of Charlotte; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
