CLINTON — Margaret L. Melchiorri, 90, of Clinton, Iowa, died Wednesday, August 12, 2009, at the Alverno Health Care Facility. Services will be held at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory on Saturday, August 15, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at Snell-Zornig on Friday, August 14, 2009, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jody Minor, Lonny, Aaron and Ryan Melchiorri, Tyler Schrader and Melissa Jost. Margaret was born July 3, 1919, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Adelta (Koons) Jackson. She was a 1936 Clinton High School graduate. Margaret was a homemaker. She married Robert Holliday on July 10, 1937, in Clinton; he died May 4, 1945. She later married Carl Louis "Luigi" Melchiorri on April 20, 1948, in Clinton; he died August 9, 2006. Survivors include 3 daughters, Connie Baker of Clinton; Carla (Steve) Schrader of Camanche and Cindy (Randy) Gilbert of Clinton; 1 son, Ron (Ruthann) Melchiorri of Camanche; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Joyce Brown of Clinton; and 2 brothers, Gary (Donna) Jackson of Camanche and Jim Jackson of Fisher, IN. Memorials may be made to the Alverno. Death date: Aug. 12, 2009
