The Clinton Herald Monday July 29, 1946 p. 10 Chris Bahnsen, 61, of 2309 Dunham street, died at 7:07 p.m. Saturday in Mercy hospital. He had been ill seven weeks. The body will be taken to the family home late today and services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's church. Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery. Mr. Bahnsen was born Dec. 20, 1884, in Germany, the son of Paul and Anna Bahnsen. He lived 56 years in this community and is a retired stationary engineer. He married Mae Bark March 4, 1920, in Clinton. Surviving are the widow, two sons, Glenn and Chris Jr. of Clinton; two daughters, Eleanor, of Cedar Rapids, and Helen Goldensoph, Clinton; two step-daughters, Marie Finnicum and Alberta Chapman, both of Clinton; two brothers, William of Milwaukee, Wis., and Frank, Clinton; and six sisters, Marietta Cole of California, Edna Hall, Chicago, Flora Eddington, St. Louis, Mo.; Rose Larson and Isabelle Petersen, both of Clinton, and Freda Shriver, Chicago.
