CLINTON — Anita D. Dohrmann, 86, of Clinton, died Friday, July 17, 2009, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa.Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Clinton, with the Rev. Michael Holm officiating. Burial will follow in the Miles Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren: Angela (Dohrmann) Pennell, Terry Moehr, Michelle Dohrmann, Kelly Moehr, Matthew Moehr, Jaime Peters, Sarah Dohrmann, Kellie (Reed) Miller, and Christopher Peters. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Anita D. Miller was born on January 11, 1923, in Preston, Iowa, the daughter of John and Louise (Kukkuck) Miller. She married Russell W. Dohrmann on March 15, 1941 in Dubuque, Iowa. Russ died July 4, 1994. Anita was a 1940 graduate of Preston High School. Anita was a self-employed seamstress and also worked at the Clinton Garment Factory and Klines Department Store for many years.Anita was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Clinton. Anita loved creating and sharing her "Omaville" Christmas village and crocheting many unique creations for loved ones to share and enjoy. She also was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and an all around sports fan. Fishing was also one of her real joys. Anita loved to cook and bake and no visitor ever left her home hungry.Anita is survived by one son, Russell (Jean) Dohrmann, of Urbandale, Iowa; a daughter, Sharlene (Charles) Peters of Peachtree City, Georgia; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Anita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sister, Bernice Mullins, twin sister, Avelda Herington, and one brother, Virgil Miller.
