MORRISON, Ill. — Richard Dean Lindstrom, 68, of Morrison, died Monday, June 15, 2009, at his home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2009, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Mr. Rich Criss, ministry coordinator of Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison, IL, will be officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison, IL, with graveside military funeral honors. Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Reformed Church Music Ministry and St. Jude's Children's Hospital.He was born March 31, 1941, in Galesburg, IL, to Nellie C. Lindstrom-Eads.Richard was educated in the Morrison and Thomson, IL, grade schools and he attended Morrison High School, Morrison, IL.He married Lynne A. Decker on July 13, 1962, in Morrison; she died September 1, 1984. He then married Mary E. (Porter) Houseright on June 1, 1985, in Morrison, IL; she survives. He was raised by his grandmother, Ellen V. Lindstrom. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was first employed by Goodenough Dairy as a milk delivery man. He then engaged in farming in the rural Thomson area of Carroll County while also employed by General Electric, Morrison, IL, retiring in 1995 after 34 years. He was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church, Morrison, IL, and Morrison Dunlap Lodge 321-AF and AM. Richard enjoyed woodworking and metal working. Survivors include his wife, Mary; two daughters, Leanne Stock of Morrison, IL, and Rene Renkes of Morrison, IL; two sons, Ritchie (Heather) Lindstrom of Morrison, IL, and Matthew Lindstrom of Morrison, IL; one stepson, Josh (Tina) Schave of Bolingbrook, IL; seven grandchildren, Allison Renkes, Tate Renkes, Adam Lindstrom, Anna Lindstrom, Jade Stock, Nathan Schave, Michael Schave; two sisters, Vicki (Jim) Carroll of Morrison, IL, and Ellen Turner of Morrison, IL; two brothers, Larry (Mary) Eads of Morrison, IL, and Robert (Eileen) Cook of Morrison, IL.
