FULTON, Ill. — Lucille B. Geerts, 85, of Harbor Crest Nursing Home, Fulton, died Friday, June 5, 2009, at Harbor Crest Nursing Home, Fulton, IL.Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Stephan, pastor of Second Reformed Church in Fulton, IL, officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton, IL.Memorials may be made to Second Reformed Church, Fulton, IL, or Harbor Crest Nursing Home, Fulton, IL.She was born June 2, 1924, in Morrison, IL, to William and Lucy (Temple) Boelkens. Lucille was educated in rural Whiteside County Grade Schools and was a graduate of Fulton High School, Fulton, IL. She married Paul G. Geerts on June 30, 1943, in Morrison, IL; he died August 10, 2000.She was employed by General Electric, Morrison, IL, for 21 years. She was a member of Second Reformed Church, Fulton, IL, the church's Willing Workers Society and active in the Coffee Break Ministry. Survivors include one daughter, Linda (Dennis) Vander Beek of Oskaloosa, IA; and two granddaughters, Amy (Roy) Bailey and Kristy Vander Beek.
