CLINTON — Thomas E. Broadrick, age 79, of Clinton, died Monday June 1, 2009, at Mercy North Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 5, 2009, at the Prince of Peace Parish. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Pape Funeral Home and Friday 10:00 a.m. until the service hour at the church. Following the funeral service, cremation rites will be accorded and burial will be held Monday 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery. Thomas was born on Aug. 16, 1929, in Clinton, the son of Martin and Josephine (Waldorf) Broadrick. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Thomas worked at Clinton Corn Processing and as a custodian for Clinton Community School District, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family. Thomas is survived by his son, Lee (Roberta Short) Broadrick of Wickenburg, AZ; two daughters, Lynn Broadrick and Lory (Barry) Rickertsen, both of Clinton; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter; a brother, William (Peggy) Broadrick of Clinton; and two sisters, Bernadette (William) Roberts and Jeanne Ries, both of Clinton.
