CLINTON — Ruth Catherine Steinbeck-Kelly, 89, of Clinton, passed away Monday, May 18th, 2009, at Mercy Living Center South. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009, at Lemke Funeral Home, South Chapel. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 21, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Lemke Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Pastor Fred Schauer officiating. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.Ruth Catherine Steinbeck-Kelly was born on August 3, 1919, in Spragueville, IA, to Frank and Ella (Asmussen) Ehler. She graduated from Miles High School in 1936 and also the Scoville Business College. She married Rolland Steinbeck on June 2, 1946, in Preston, IA. He preceded her in death. She then married Wayne Kelly on April 25, 1992. He passed away in 2002. She worked for A.C. Nielsen as a unit leader for 21 years. She was a member of Chancy Lutheran Church and loved the Chicago Cubs.Surviving her is her son, Gordon (Mary) Steinbeck of Clinton; and a grandson, Matthew Steinbeck of Davenport, IA.
