CLINTON — Linda L. Shadle, age 62, of Clinton, died Sunday May 24, 2009, at Mercy North Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Friday 10:30 a.m. May 29, 2009, at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Jim James, David James, Paul Tseng, Kevin Simon, Andrew Melvin and Eric Burlingame. Linda was born on Oct. 11, 1946, in Clinton, IA, the daughter of William and Helen (Mahmens) Simon Sr. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1965. She married Marvin Shadle on Oct. 16, 1999, in Clinton. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her dogs. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, Elvis fan and attended the Clinton Lumberkings' games. Linda is survived by her husband, Marvin, of Clinton; a daughter, Cynthia Dodd (Paul Tseng) of Madison, WI; a son, Ryan (Carrie) Dodd of Ames, IA; and three brothers, William (Carol) Simon Jr. of Clinton, Robert (Sandy) Simon of Magnolia, KY, and Michael (Karen) Simon of Parkland, FL; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents.
