CLINTON — Willis J. Harvey, age 78, of Clinton, died Sunday, May 24, 2009, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 29th, at the Pape Funeral Home in Clinton. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Casket bearers will be grandsons, Nate and Terry Ullrich, Joe Lowry, D.J., Alan and Jeremiah, Joe Terry. Willis was born in Swifton, AR, on June 3, 1930, the son of Willie and Mary Holder Harvey. He married Mildred Dohrman on February 27, 1955, in Clinton. Mildred died in 1973. Willis was employed with Clinton Corn Processing Company for 34 years retiring in 1982. Willis enjoyed fishing, was a Chicago Bear and Cub fan but especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Willis is survived by five children, Linda Ullrich of Clinton, Debbie Lowry of Clinton, Willis "John" Harvey II of Clinton, Barb Terry of Atascadero, CA, and Tim (Dawn) Harvey of Clinton; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; four sisters, three brothers and nieces and nephews.
