OMAHA, Neb. — Merna Mae Hindley, 76, of Omaha, Nebraska, and formerly of Clinton, passed away May 8, 2009, at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.Graveside services will be held May 15, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at the Clinton Lawn Cemetery, 2610 Manufacturing Dr., Clinton, Iowa. Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel, are assisting the family with arrangements.Merna was born May 3, 1933, in Wisconsin to Lewis and Luetta Reed. She married Jack Hindley in 1969 in Omaha, Nebraska. Merna had been employed at Stern Tent Company until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her family. She also enjoyed putting puzzles together and shopping. Merna will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 40 years, Jack Hindley, of Omaha, Nebraska.Merna is survived by her husband, Jack, of Omaha, NE; 3 daughters and 3 sons, Richard Christenson of Phoenix, AZ; Mrs. Craig (Susie) Pierce of Bushnell, IL; Terry Turner of Mead, NE; Becky Turner of Omaha, NE; Randy Turner of Denver, CO; Mrs. Joseph Wagner (Joyce) of Clinton, IA; 2 sisters and 1 brother, Mrs. Fred Reckman (Bev) of Clinton, IA; Mrs. Howard Fisher (Betty) of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; Edward Reed of Phoenix, AZ; several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.Merna was preceded in death by 2 daughters, 2 brothers, 3 grandchildren and her parents.Death date: May 8, 2009
