The Clinton Herald May 31, 1944 p. 10 Gilbert Marcucci, 73, formerly of Clinton, died Tuesday morning at 3:26 o'clock in Oelwein. The body was brought to Clinton to repose in the home of his son, Charles Marcucci, 509 Seventh avenue, South. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 9 a.m. in St. Mary's church with burial in St. Mary's cemetery. Mr. Marcucci who came to Clinton in 1905 where he wsa engaged in the confectionery business until his retirement in 1930, was born in Luca, Italy. He came to America in 1884. He is survived by two sons, Charles of this city, and Emil, Maquoketa; three daughters, Mrs. Ida Bianchi, Chicago; Mrs. J.A. Sodini, Oelwein; and Miss Hilda Marcucci, Fulton, Ill. Also surviving are two brothers, Gus, Lincoln, Ill.; and Lawrence, Chicago; and a sister, Mrs. Rose Finchi, New York city. Preceding him in death were his wife, three children, his parents and four brothers.
