CLINTON — Helen May Nash, 87, of Clinton, died Monday, March 30, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center, North Campus, in Clinton. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2009, at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Pastor Ron Lott from First Baptist Church will be officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at the Clinton Chapel. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Helen May McLaughlin was born on February 6, 1922, in Richfield Township, Adams County, WI, the daughter of Charles R. and Grace Elizabeth (Gilden) McLaughlin. She attended Wisconsin schools. She married Lloyd F. Nash in Dubuque, IA, on February 29, 1940; he died on July 7, 1994. They moved to Clinton in 1959 after having their four children, Gary, Judy, Kirby and Brady. She was a homemaker for most of her life. She worked at Swift and Co. and A.C. Nielsen's after her husband became ill. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Clinton for more than 45 years. She participated in various church functions and enjoyed all the friends she had there. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors of America since 1956. Survivors include one daughter, Judy (James) Burken of Clinton; three sons, Gary (Rebecca) Nash of Dayton, OH, Kirby (Liz) Nash of Clinton and Brady Nash of Clinton; two sisters, Della Ward of Adams, WI, and Betty (Ken) Morley of Bartow, FL; grandchildren: David (Andrea) Burken of Blue Grass, IA, Mary (Dean) Hansen of Clinton, Bill Burken of North Liberty, IA, Joshua (Paula) Nash of Stanford, NC, Jon Nash of Clinton, Tracie (Marc) Smith of Clinton, Kim Tiexeira, Jill Nash and Kristin Nash-O'Hagin; 3 stepgrandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 1 stepgreat-grandson and 1 stepgreat-great-grandson. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Harmony House.
