Hilde Block 05/01/2001 GRAND MOUND, Iowa -- Services for Hilde Block, formerly of Grand Mound, will be 9 a.m. Wednesday at Grand Mound City Cemetery. Mrs. Block died Saturday, April 28, 2001, in Prairie Village, Kan. Hilde Andresen was born Aug. 20, 1914, in DeWitt. She married Elmer Block in 1934 in DeWitt. She helped her husband run the farm and B&W Cattle Co. in the Grand Mound area. He preceded her in death. Survivors include; a daughter, Jan Wooten, San Diego; a son, Dale, DeWitt; and two grandchildren.
