Geraldine Cook 04/17/2001 MAQUOKETA, Iowa -- Services for Geraldine M. Cook, Roselle, Ill., formerly of Maquoketa, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Carson & Son Funeral and Cremation Services, Maquoketa. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Cook died Friday, April 13, 2001, at Alexian Brothers Hospital, Elk Grove, Ill., after an extended illness. She worked more than 20 years at Western Electric, Chicago. Geraldine Wheaton was born Oct. 2, 1918, in Delmar. She married George Cook in 1937 in Crown Point, Ind. He died in 1998. A memorial fund has been established. Survivors include a daughter, Josephine Samuels, Medinah, Ill.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a step-great-grandchild; a stepsister, Ila Fisher, Tamarac, Fla.; and a brother, Walter Wheaton, Berryville, Ark.
