Elmer Busch 03/18/2000 LOST NATION, Iowa -- Services for Elmer J Busch, Lost Nation, will be 1 p.m. Monday at Elwood United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Lost Nation Cemetery, with military services conducted. Visitation is 3-7 p.m. Sunday at Haylock-O'Hara & Lahey Funeral Home, Maquoketa, and noon to service time Monday at the church. Mr. Busch died Thursday, March 16, 2000, at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport, after a brief illness. He had farmed in the Lost Nation area. He was born Oct. 30, 1925, in Smithtown. He married Hilda Schneiter in 1955 in Monticello. During the Korean War, he served in the Army. A memorial fund has been established. Survivors include his wife, Hilda; and a son, Darrell, Bettendorf.
