Luverne Clausen 03/15/2000 CLINTON, Iowa -- Luverne A. Clausen, Clinton, died Tuesday, March 14, 2000, at Mercy Medical Center-Clinton, South Campus. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Chancy Lutheran Church, Clinton. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is 3-7 p.m. today at Nelson Funeral Home, Clinton. Mr. Clausen had worked at DuPont, was a farmer and carpenter and was an insurance inspector at Preston Mutual. He was born March 20, 1920, in Teeds Grove. He married Wilma Keil in 1941 in Bellevue. Survivors include his wife, Wilma L.; daughters, Shirlaine Dawson, Clinton, and Kay Strom, Fort Wayne, Ind.; a son, Russell A., Bellevue; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and sisters, Dorothy Michaelsen and Mary Wilkerson, both of Low Moor, and Elaine Michaelsen, Clinton.
